A Wee Broon Troot

Beautiful little trout in the local stream. Just a few minutes from our door. Nice evening casting on pretty water with the promise of sea-run browns in a few weeks.

  • Inferior species is an exercise in definition, no? There's a lot of beauty here -- some of it in the water, some of it in wandering and wondering.

No moors to roam through, but the woods here hasn't been timbered since 1528. Many of the oaks are over 600 years old. Ratty sweater notwithstanding, it does cause one to think about how much that little trout (who I would never kill)fits into the greater scheme of things.

    Life is good . . .

  • Thanks, Tim -- you know, Dennis was almost enjoying our good fortune!! Good thing he has a "friend" like you to smear shit all over the things he finds beautiful!
